Dorm Dec Wednesdays: Packing for School

My sister & I are packing up our things and I don't know about her but I can't wait to get back to school!  I can't wait to move into my apartment & set up my room, to decorate & to have my own kitchen.  I love having my own space.  I am the type of person who needs her own space.  I enjoy being alone, is that weird? I don't mind hanging out by myself.  Sometimes if I am around a lot of people I get anxiety! I am just like "AAhhhhh! Why are there so many people!" & thats when I know its time for me time.  I love being social & meeting new people but I also like to sit & get to know myself better :)

Packing has gotten easier & easier over the past years so I am almost done.  Hooray! My Sister's room however looks like crazy mess!  For that very reason I've taken a picture of some of her stuff to showcase exactly what happens (& what you need) when you start to pack as a freshman for college:

  1. The first are two Five Star Flex Binders.  I love these things! These are the best notebooks.  They are like a binder in which you can add and remove pages but they are like a notebook because you can fold the front back & write.  There is not hard cardboard keeping it stiff.  Also, these binders last forever!
  2. A twin XL bedspread & sheets.  She got a new bedspread but her sheets are hand-me-downs from me. And they weren't even new when I got them, they were a hand-me-down from family friend.
  3. Now we are getting into the mess! 5 bags of clothes & I believe she is adding more.
  4. Bins to store food, etc that are packed with sheets, laundry bags, office organizers, Britas, water bottle, & hangers.  I have no clue what is lurking under all of it on top :)
  5. A shower caddy & a bin with assorted accessories.  She has another bin like this filled with shoes.
When you start to pack for college you realize that you have no clue what it takes to run a day of your life.  You realize all that you've taken for granted.  When you arrive with the stuff you've packed you realize that no, you didn't need that 15th pair of shoes or extra this or that.  Packing is hard! I'd forgotten how hard it was because I store my things at school.

Well I can't wait to move in, I am getting antsy!
Happy Wednesday!
