Sum Up Sundays: Butterflies & Type

Ahhh! I was in such a hurry to get out of the hot art building that I ran home with out snapping a picture of my type! It's alright though, the font I chose was more out of which has enough letters rather than what will look the best.

Here are my butterflies:

I've hung them over my desk which is getting a load of use this year! I am creating & crafting along with typing & drafting.  I am sprucing up my resume & learning to write proper cover letters. One of my assignments was to research a job I'd like to apply for & turn in a cover letter as if I was applying for that job.  Well I found one at Urban Outfitters in the field I'd like to get into: Visual Display & Merchandising.  Hmmmm...I might really be applying for it come graduation (or close to).

The photo in the background there is at my friend's graduation party.  The girl in the middle is the first friend I ever made in college, I'm in the orange & yellow, & the girl on the end is our other really good friend we met our second year here.  I miss them a ton! But they are both successful graduates & have really fun jobs :)

I can't believe it's the third week of the semester! I've got to get crackin!

Sum Up Sundays: Paper & Printmaking

The first week of classes is over! I can't believe it! I can't believe this weekend went by so fast either.  I was a bit of a slacker this week because it's just so hard getting back into the swing of things. Its also been HOT & I don't want to walk from my apartment to campus even though its just right across the street.

Here's whats been done this week:

1. First I've decorated my notebooks like I said I would! I've discovered a need for notebooks this year to organize a lot of my things.  I am a list maker & I really need a place to write down what I need to do & when I am going to do it.  Luckily I have a to do list on my Ipod Touch which will save me from losing the paper I write the lists on! So far the app is working :)
2. This is a template I've made for my bookplate.  I collect scrapbook paper & used a design from it to make my bookplate.  I love patterns & pattern papers.  I like to have a collection of them to use for digital & paper art.
3. Ex Libris: I decided to use my own hand writing for my bookplate.  I liked type but I thought it'd be more personal with my own writing. I am going to scan it in & break it apart because my name is too close to the other text.

Have you finished anything cool this week? Also, do you use bookplates? I don't know how common they are now but I like them!

Dorm Dec Wednesdays: My New Pad

I am fully moved in! There are still boxes sitting around because I am too lazy to take them down to the dumpster but other than that it is all done!

We have a couch & two chairs, a coffee table, two end tables, a big window just past that globe light there & the table in the foreground.

Tv & tv stand, blankets kept in that bright picnic basket at the bottom of the white shelf there, games & DVD's, kitchen in the background.

Still pretty bare in the rest of the apartment but so far so good :)
